AP Biology and Biology 12 students are encouraged to download these notes, especially to gain a better understanding of P & A sites on the ribosome.
Here is an example of DNA replication summarized as an illustration. Your diagrams should look similar to this with the exception of the specific base pairs being used.
If you did not receive the notes handed out in class please download them here. All questions from the Review Package must be completed.
Please download and review the project outline. Biology 12 students will be assigned this project next week. AP Biology students will have the option to take part or opt out.
AP Biology:
- Students have completed work on Biomolecules and have been tested on this material
- Notes and questions for DNA / Protein Synthesis have been provided to students
- Students are asked to complete all review questions on this topic for next class
Biology 12:
- Biomolecules test is scheduled for Monday November 7th, 2011 – 45 multiple choice questions in total
- Our next topic will be DNA / Protein Synthesis
Biology 11 / 11E:
- Evolution projects should be handed in with works cited
- Students spent two classes looking at taxonomy with an emphasis on Dichotomous Keys and the 5 Kingdom System of classification
- Our next topic is Viruses (Chapter 7)
- Students should have completed all vocabulary from Chapter 7 and both sets of review questions (p. 199 and p. 205)
Biology 12:
- Complete Biological Molecules In-Class Questions
- Complete Properties of Biological Macromolecules Chart
- Complete All Questions from Review Package at end of Notes
Biology 11E / 11:
- Complete Evolution Project – Due Day 1 on Mon Oct 24th and Day 2 on Tue Oct 25th
AP Biology:
- Complete all worksheet questions handed out in class including review package
- Read Chapter 2 of Online Text and Complete Questions
